Who we are

Collage Strategies starts with the belief that you have to get a little messy in order to create something great. A great collage brings together old and new elements in unexpected ways, and that’s exactly what we seek to create with our clients. Bring us in when you need to shake things up.

Because here’s the thing: you can’t expect to get different results by doing the same old thing. Doing something new is going to be uncomfortable for everyone involved, and our goal is to help you navigate through that discomfort so you can reach your full potential.

Creativity, experimentation, interdependency, diversity, vulnerability, and authenticity are all things that make your work and the experience of doing it better, and every single one of them requires relinquishing certainty, control, and comfort. We promise to get you out of your comfort zone, and that we’ll even have fun doing it.

It’s going to be messy, and it’s going to be worth it.

Anne Terry, Founder

During the pandemic, Anne found herself leading back to back organizational transformations and realized that figuring out what to do was hard, but it wasn’t the hardest part. Getting everyone to actually do it? That was the hardest part. Coaching seemed to offer some tools, but was all too often divorced from the work at hand. Ultimately, she started Collage Strategies with the goal of using both routine strategic planning and major strategy pivots as opportunities to help leaders build the skills they’d need to bring their vision to life.

Across her career at the Advisory Board and Optum, Anne developed and launched new product offerings, ran survey-based research, and coached leadership teams through change in the healthcare, technology, digital content, and services sectors. Anne also spent over a decade helping organizations sustain strong employee engagement and shift from a default culture to one that intentionally attracts, retains, and inspires strategy-aligned talent. This career arc culminated in leading organizational transformations as a VP of Strategy and Transformation, which put everything she’d learned about Agile, design thinking, and Jobs to Be Done during her product management years to the test. Among other things, Anne is an abstract painter and parent, both of which she draws on to infuse her work with creativity, play, and connection.

Anne holds a B.S. from Brown University and completed her coaching certification at Georgetown University. Anne holds an ACC-level credential with the International Coaching Federation.
